Laurel Main Street and BancorpSouth Bank are proud to announce the return of Downtown Countdown after last year’s cancellation in caution of COVID-19. Witness the inaugural lighting of the 7 foot Rhinestone Pinecone suspended from the historic 1st National Bank at the corner of North Magnolia & Central Avenue, which is the Rock104 stage. This event is free to attend and family-friendly!
Countdown Kids: 5:00 – 8:00 PM
Sponsored by Shug’s Cookie Dough & Candy Bar, Countdown Kids will begin at 5 PM on North Magnolia Street. There will be jumps, games, music by DJ Peeches on the Rock104 stage, and face painting. Also, the first pinecone drop and fireworks show will be at 8 PM on the Rock104 stage!
Adults Celebrate: 8:00 PM – Midnight
We welcome all to come to Oak Street, North Magnolia Street, & Central Ave to celebrate, enjoy live music, food trucks, beer & celebratory toasting service, fireworks & midnight countdown lighting of the Loblolly Pinecone on the Rock104 Stage!
What else to expect this New Year’s Eve?
You can look forward to food trucks, beer and champagne services, live entertainment on the Rock104 Stage, and extended merchant and restaurant hours at the Downtown Countdown to 2022!
The live entertainment will be by DJ Peeches at 5:00-8:00 PM, Emerald Empire at 8:00 PM-Midnight, Sistaz with Soul at Midnight. Also, at 7:00-8:00 PM, Elegant Evenings will be hosting a fashion show in front of their shop!
